Overview
In this Energy Marshall role, you safeguard HV/MV/LV work sites by ensuring equipment is isolated and safe. You will lead electrical safety planning, audits, and the oversight of Authorized Persons to uphold regulatory compliance. You’ll work with clients, subcontractors, and project staff to implement safety documentation and incident-free switching programs. The position includes ownership of the site Electrical Safety Plan and may involve significant international travel.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement electrical safety documentation
- Audit and review site switching schedules, isolation and earthing of HV equipment
- Audit and review safety documents (AP Permits to Work, Sanctions for Test, Limitation of Access) for compliance
- Attend client meetings, resolve operational issues, mentor team members, assist in outage programmes
- Own the site Electrical safety plan, engineering policy, procedure, and legislation
- Collaborate within a team with clients, subcontractors, and project staff
Key requirements
- Ability to build Energisation Strategy and Electrical Safety Plan
- Knowledge of Electricity at Work Regulations and electrical hazards
- Experience with High Voltage, Medium Voltage, and Low Voltage system arrangements
- Understanding of switchgear safety features and HV/MV/LV safety rules
- Experience issuing and controlling safety documentation (Permits to Work, sanctions, lockout procedures)
- Ability to audit and review switching programmes and safety documentation
- Experience with fault incident processes and corrective actions
- Willingness for international travel (Finland rotations)
