Overview

In this role, you will lead the end-to-end development of new-to-market payment solutions within Mastercard Foundry, translating market signals into viable product opportunities. You’ll shape strategy, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive in-market delivery and partnerships to differentiate Mastercard in a fast-evolving payments landscape. You’ll influence senior stakeholders and steer initiatives from concept through commercialisation, delivering value on near- and longer-term opportunities. This position offers scope to impact revenue growth, ecosystem partnerships, and strategic differentiation at scale.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, assess, and prioritise market opportunities across core payments and services, translating customer needs into clear product opportunities.
  • Develop narratives, value propositions, and business cases to support investment decisions.
  • Drive thought leadership and a structured learning agenda across priority opportunity areas from market tests and pilots.
  • Act as trusted partner to senior stakeholders, influencing product strategy, innovation priorities, and go-to-market decisions.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (Technology, CXD, Legal, Risk, Commercial) to design solutions, manage dependencies, and secure alignment.
  • Lead and contribute to idea generation for new-to-market products, including workshop facilitation and concept development.
  • Work with product management, engineering, CXD and legal to progress ideas from concept to commercialisation.
  • Operate effectively within a matrixed organisation, delivering results within tight timelines and evolving priorities.

Key requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in product development with a track record of taking products from opportunity identification to commercial launch.
  • Strong understanding of the global commercial payments ecosystem.
  • Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication, with ability to present complex topics clearly to executives.
  • Proven critical thinker comfortable with technical detail, commercial models, and strategic frameworks.
  • Strong collaborator with ability to influence in a matrixed, cross-functional environment.
