Data Engineer – SC Clearance

Overview

In this role you will design, develop and support ETL solutions to enable reliable data integration within an established delivery framework. You will work with cross-functional teams to implement Talend-based pipelines and Oracle RDS data stores, driving quality throughout testing and deployment. You will mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and contribute to Agile processes while complying with security clearance requirements. This position offers hands-on data engineering work in a regulated environment with a clear impact on data-driven decisions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support ETL solutions within an established delivery framework
• Create and maintain Talend jobs; perform Oracle DDL and SQL scripting
• Enhance GitLab pipelines and integrate CI/CD practices
• Troubleshoot defects across testing lifecycle and ensure quality
• Conduct peer code reviews and mentor junior engineers in Agile environments

Key requirements

• Proven commercial experience as a Data Engineer focused on ETL
• Strong ETL development experience, preferably with Talend (Pentaho or Informatica acceptable)
• Experience with Oracle RDS, SQL, and database development
• Ability to develop and maintain Talend jobs, Oracle DDL, SQL scripts, and GitLab pipelines
• Troubleshooting defects throughout testing lifecycle
• Good understanding of integration, automation, and performance testing
• Experience mentoring junior engineers and conducting code reviews in Agile settings
• SC Clearance preferred
