Overview

In this role you lead a regional Sales Engineering team to bridge sales and engineering, shaping the technical narrative for executives and engineers alike. You own the technical evaluation phase, drive strategic projects, and coach teams to deliver compelling platform demos and outcomes. You work hands-on when needed to debug integrations and ensure customer success across Harness engagements. This position combines leadership with deep technical storytelling to accelerate commercial relationships and adoption of Harness outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, recruit, and grow a high-performing Sales Engineering team
  • Drive strategic projects that scale across the region
  • Deliver and coach platform presentations and demos that convey value
  • Debug customer integrations and translate business problems into technical solutions
  • Lead complex technical engagements including POCs, workshops, and RFI/RFP responses
  • Articulate technology value at executive, business, and technical levels
  • Convey customer requirements to Engineering teams
  • Represent Harness at field events and conferences as a technical voice

Key requirements

  • 2+ years leading Sales Engineering teams with a track record in recruiting and developing SE talent
  • 4+ years of hands-on DevOps/Dev sales engineering experience
  • Background as a developer or deeply developer-centric DevOps role
  • Strong cloud and infrastructure knowledge with hands-on Terraform experience
  • Willingness to be hands-on as a leader and possibly IC
  • Strong public speaking and presentation skills
  • Self-motivated, resilient, problem-solver
  • Collaborative team player with cross-functional partnership experience
  • Ability to travel extensively within a sales territory and frequent in-office presence near London
