Overview

In this role you will lead the delivery of assured MEPH design packages for the BBVS sub-contractor Anthro on HS2, ensuring governance, compliance, and timely delivery. You will coordinate internal interfaces with construction, procurement, planning, BIM, quality and H&S, and manage external interfaces with utilities, authorities and other HS2 package interfaces. You will lead a small team of BBVS MEPH Design Managers, driving consistent design management practice and reporting. This is a senior role that shapes design delivery on a high-profile infrastructure program and requires proactive collaboration with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead delivery of assured MEPH design packages for BBVS/Anthro, ensuring HS2 compliance and project governance
  • Manage design change control and technical delivery with the BBVS lead designer (WSP)
  • Coordinate internal interfaces with construction, procurement, planning, digital engineering/BIM, quality, and H&S
  • Coordinate external interfaces with utilities, local authorities, statutory undertakers, fire authorities, Network Rail/TfL, and other HS2 interfaces to secure consents and resolve clashes
  • Manage design dependencies and ensure buildability and sequence alignment
  • Lead a team of 3–4 BBVS MEPH Design Managers with priorities, technical oversight, and standardized reporting

Key requirements

  • Good understanding of all MEPFHC systems
  • Experience dealing with MEPHFC designers, contractors, subcontractors, and clients
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including writing and presenting
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and handle a fluid workload
  • Engages with a wide range of colleagues and stakeholders to achieve objectives
