Overview
As a Civil Engineer in AECOM’s Bristol Water Team, you contribute to a portfolio of water programmes for major clients, delivering multi-disciplinary solutions from inception through delivery. You will work with engineers, hydraulic modellers and other specialists to translate designs into real-world outcomes, including on-site exposure. The role blends technical design with field implementation, offering growth through digital delivery and sustainable impact. You’ll join a global team shaping critical water infrastructure and communities.

Responsibilities
- Support design and feasibility studies across potable, foul, surface water and attenuation projects
- Utilize design and analysis software to assess water systems and structures
- Develop infrastructure designs including pump systems and pipe networks with focus on safety and buildability
- Collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team of engineers, hydraulic modellers and other specialists
- Gain on-site experience through site visits and project implementation to translate designs into practice
Key requirements
- Civil Engineering degree (or equivalent)
- Experience in the design of water and wastewater engineering deliverables with multi-disciplinary knowledge
- Demonstrate sound problem-solving skills, accountability for assigned work, and strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working in a digital delivery environment using BIM and 3D design tools
- Working towards chartership status with a relevant institution e.g. ICE, CIWEM
