Overview

In this role you will lead the end-to-end delivery of Power, Utilities, Telecoms and Construction projects across multiple contracts. You will drive performance against contractual KPIs, maintain strong customer relationships, and uphold safety, quality and productivity standards. You will manage operational teams, budgets and planning to deliver projects on time and within budget, while coordinating with utility providers and stakeholders. This is an opportunity to shape field operations, improve delivery processes, and contribute to a safety‑driven, high‑performance environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day delivery across Power, Utilities, Telecoms and Construction projects
  • Validate incoming works and ensure pricing aligns with contractual rates
  • Lead operational teams across surveying, planning, permitting, civils, construction and reinstatement
  • Drive delivery against customer commitments and internal targets
  • Manage operational budgets and financial performance
  • Support forecasting, reporting and business planning
  • Collaborate with commercial teams to maximise contract performance
  • Coordinate with DNOs/IDNOs/utilities for connections and upgrades
  • Oversee power applications, quotations, contestable/non-contestable works and energisation
  • Coordinate utility designs and power requirements for network builds
  • Ensure on-time, safe, and budget-compliant delivery
  • Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and industry standards
  • Act as escalation point for customers and stakeholders
  • Attend customer performance reviews and operational meetings
  • Manage KPIs, SLAs and financial targets
  • Identify opportunities for business growth
  • Lead and develop operational managers, supervisors, planners, coordinators and field teams
  • Ensure effective allocation of labour, plant, vehicles and subcontract resources
  • Manage workforce capacity and forward planning
  • Monitor team performance and identify training needs
  • Promote a strong safety-first culture and ensure compliance with HSE laws and regulations
  • Conduct audits, site inspections and management reviews
  • Lead investigations into incidents and customer complaints
  • Drive continuous improvement and right-first-time delivery
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, authorities, utilities and internal teams
  • Ensure clear communication throughout project lifecycles
  • Resolve operational, customer and stakeholder issues efficiently
  • Represent the business at meetings
