Overview
In this role you lead the data analytics and insights function for a dynamic claims management business. You will shape and evolve analytics to deliver decision-ready insights for the senior leadership and Board, driving improvements in claim handling, settlement accuracy, cost control, risk and fraud identification, and customer experience. You will manage a small team and work onsite in Central Liverpool with potential hybrid arrangements. This is a mission-critical role that combines analytics rigor with strategic influence to enable data-driven decisions across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Own and continuously evolve the organisation’s data and analytics capability
- Monitor data quality and interpret findings to challenge assumptions
- Translate analytics into decision-ready insights for senior leadership and the Board
- Drive improvements in claim handling times, settlement accuracy, and cost control
- Identify risk and fraud indicators and support mitigation actions
- Enhance customer experience through insights-driven initiatives
- Embed insight-led decision making across operational and strategic functions
- Manage a team of 2 Data Analysts and 2 BI Developers
Key requirements
- 10+ years in data analytics, business intelligence, or insights roles
- 5+ years in senior leadership or people management
- Degree in data analytics, statistics, computer science, economics, or related field
- Strong experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker) and analytics platforms
- Proven ability to influence executive stakeholders with data-driven insights
