Overview
In this Procurement Manager role, you will maximise financial value from supplier contracts and enhance procurement visibility across EQUANS. You work within the Public Sector division, building trusted advisor relationships with contracts and the wider procurement team. You will drive bid support, supplier onboarding, governance, and continuous improvement to deliver value and reduce risk. The position offers exposure to mobilisation of new contracts, governance controls, and strategic supplier management aligned with energy services. You will help shape commercial outcomes and operational excellence across multiple sites.

Responsibilities
- Support business growth via bid support, market engagement, pricing validation and supply chain strategy development
- Lead mobilisation activities for new contracts, establishing suppliers, frameworks and governance for operational readiness
- Conduct supplier assurance activities including financial due diligence, compliance reviews, and security/business continuity assessments
- Drive supplier relationship management to create long-term value and continuous improvement
- Act as a visible procurement partner promoting governance and best practice across the organisation
- Develop and optimise supplier relationships to meet contractual, operational, compliance and performance requirements
- Lead supplier selection, onboarding, performance management and continuous improvement to enhance value, reduce risk and drive innovation
- Ensure procurement activity complies with policy, authority levels and governance
- Act as strategic procurement partner to operations, projects and bids, influencing decisions for better commercial outcomes
Key requirements
- Experience in supplier relationship management and performance improvement programmes
- Experience supporting mobilisation, transition or business growth activities
- Experience in regulated, public sector or compliance-driven environments
- Proven track record delivering procurement value, governance and supply chain optimisation
- Strong commercial and contractual awareness
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Proven negotiation and supplier management experience
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret commercial and financial data
