Software Asset Management (ServiceNow)

Overview

Você will lead enterprise asset governance for a major Zero Trust programme, building trusted asset visibility across hybrid estates. You will collaborate with security, IAM, infrastructure and governance teams to mature asset registers and the ServiceNow CMDB, driving lifecycle controls and risk management. This role focuses on enabling compliant, secure asset management that supports critical services and data flows in the public sector. You will shape governance practices and instrument robust asset reconciliation and evidence management. This is a strategic, hands-on opportunity to impact how public services are secured and governed.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and governance of enterprise Asset Registers (IAR, SAR, HAR, DAR)
• Deliver and optimise ServiceNow CMDB, Discovery, asset governance, and lifecycle management
• Create authoritative inventories and a trusted single source of truth across hybrid estates
• Define asset lifecycle processes from onboarding to secure disposal
• Support governance and compliance for DSPT, NIS, data protection, and operational security
• Improve visibility of assets, data flows, ownership, dependencies, and critical services
• Define governance for asset reconciliation, configuration management, and ongoing compliance
• Collaborate with security, IAM, infrastructure, information governance and operations to enhance asset integrity and risk management
• Support RBAC, auditability, evidence management, and secure operational processes across asset platforms

Key requirements

• Strong ServiceNow ITAM / SAM Pro / HAM Pro / CMDB experience
• Experience governing enterprise-scale CMDB and Asset Register capabilities
• Knowledge of asset lifecycle management, configuration governance, and reconciliation
• Experience managing software, hardware, information, or data assets in regulated environments
• Understanding of asset ownership models, data governance, and operational risk
• Experience supporting DSPT, NIS, GDPR, or ISO 27001 frameworks
• Understanding of ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping, and asset integration
• Experience implementing RBAC, audit logging, secure disposal, and evidence management
• Strong stakeholder engagement and governance across technical and operational teams
• Willingness to undergo Security Clearance (Baseline Personnel Security Standard)
