Overview
As a Senior Compliance & Operational Risk Specialist in the HACOR team, you will act as the international SME advising on Transaction Processing, Execution and Fraud risks across EMEA, APAC, and Americas. You’ll collaborate with enterprise risk, front-line, and regional teams to ensure compliant, risk-aware operations and governance. You will drive horizontal risk management, regulatory change, and data-driven risk insights to senior leadership, while promoting continuous improvement and effective risk culture. This role offers exposure to a global, matrixed environment and opportunities to shape risk programs across multiple entities.
Responsibilities
- Advise on horizontal risks (Transaction Processing & Execution and Fraud) for senior management and stakeholders
- Engage with Enterprise Risk Type and ORBO teams to ensure understood and assessed international horizontal risks
- Ensure compliance with firm policies and governance for international operations
- Support change programs aligning with international risk regulatory requirements
- Develop and monitor risk profiles, KRI calibration, and legal entity oversight
- Utilize AI tools to identify risk and produce data-driven insights
- Identify emerging risk concerns and coordinate timely resolutions
- Provide leadership in risk standards, oversight of Front Line decisions, and program development
- Offer subject matter expertise for projects with moderate risk and drive process improvements
- Report findings and recommendations to management and governance committees
- Interpret policies and regulatory requirements and translate into actionable guidance
- Collaborate across functions to resolve issues and achieve goals
- Manage complex regulatory and risk matters with independent judgment
- Monitor issue remediation and regulatory change management under Compliance & Operational Risk
Key requirements
- Extensive experience in Compliance and/or Operational Risk in international financial services
- Strong knowledge of Transaction Processing & Execution and Fraud risks and practical business impact
- Understanding of horizontal risk management frameworks and risk metrics
- Proven advisory capabilities for regulatory change management, risk identification, issue management, and reporting
- Excellent communication skills and ability to influence at senior levels
- Experience in working with multiple entities, countries, and regulatory environments
- Ability to distill complex processes into concise, actionable guidance
- Experience with risk monitoring, escalation, and remediation processes
- Experience in project consulting for moderate-risk initiatives
