Overview

As a Technical Program Manager in Google UK Sovereign Operations, you lead strategic, cross‑functional programs for high‑security private cloud deployments. You will partner with product teams and stakeholders to identify and resolve challenges, manage risks and budgets, and ensure delivery within timelines. You’ll translate technical tradeoffs for executives and engineers alike, shaping critical cloud initiatives for the UK public sector. This role offers impact at scale in a security‑focused, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic, technical, and program management of large, multi-functional projects for strategic customers
  • Cultivate trusted partnerships across product teams and stakeholders to identify and resolve recurring challenges
  • Manage risks, issues, and actions, tracking them to meet outcomes and timelines
  • Oversee program budget and transparent billing and ordering activities
  • Coordinate with geographically dispersed teams and communicate with cross-functional partners
  • Plan requirements, manage project schedules, and report progress to executives and team leads
  • Explain analyses and recommendations to executives and discuss technical tradeoffs with engineers
  • Maintain close collaboration with Google Cloud product teams to improve technology and deployment

Key requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 2 years of experience in technical program management
  • 2 years of experience in technology consulting, or similar in the federal government space
  • Active, or the ability to obtain, a Security Check (SC) UK security clearance
  • Must be a British citizen to meet compliance and security clearance requirements
