Software Engineering Manager

Overview

In this role you will lead and grow an engineering team delivering cutting-edge software. You will shape engineering practices, guide technical direction, and ensure on-time delivery from concept to release. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to advance wireless software across diverse platforms and serve as a technical point of contact for customers. This position offers scope to develop engineers, drive performance, and contribute to engineering excellence in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, fostering collaboration and high performance
• Define and evolve engineering standards, practices, and design approaches
• Provide technical leadership across the full software development lifecycle
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to meet key milestones with high quality
• Oversee implementation and optimization of wireless software across heterogeneous platforms
• Act as technical liaison for customers, gathering requirements and resolving challenges
• Support career development, coaching, and knowledge sharing

Key requirements

• Proven experience leading software engineering teams
• Experience with C/C++ (ideally)
• Embedded software development expertise for performance-critical or high-throughput apps
• Track record in designing, developing, validating embedded or high-performance software
• Ability to translate complex ideas into practical development plans
• Experience with CI/CD, software planning tools, and agile workflows
• Relevant degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
• Understanding or willingness to develop expertise in wireless communications
