In this role, you will lead and shape 500m+ capital programmes across complex sectors, bridging strategic direction and detailed delivery. You’ll work with multi-disciplinary teams and senior stakeholders to secure investments, governance, and realization of benefits. Your leadership will drive high-performance cultures and robust controls across the programme lifecycle. Responsibilities
- Define and champion the programme vision aligned with client objectives and investment strategies
- Lead delivery of major capital programmes across the full lifecycle, from business case to benefits realisation
- Provide credible executive leadership across multidisciplinary teams and establish governance frameworks
- Manage C-suite stakeholder engagement, governance, and alignment with senior clients and boards
- Oversee commercial performance, forecasting, reporting, and value management
- Lead health and safety strategy and risk management across the programme
- Design robust governance, reporting, and assurance mechanisms for oversight
- Drive commissions management, client partnerships, and business development
- Foster an inclusive, high-performing culture and develop talent within teams
Key requirements
- Proven experience delivering high-profile, large-scale transformation/real estate programmes (250-500m+) with tangible client outcomes
- Strong ability to prioritise and optimise complex programmes across lifecycle
- Project delivery background with progression to programme leadership in construction environments
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams including project management, controls, technical and commercial
- Solid understanding of construction delivery models, procurement routes, and contracts (NEC, JCT)
- Excellent project controls know-how (scheduling, cost control, risk/opportunity) at project and programme level
- Experience operating at C-suite level with data-driven communication and influence
- Supply chain management experience, particularly Tier 1
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and third-party management
- Expert practitioner of programme management methodologies in real estate environments
- Practical health and safety leadership with knowledge of CDM and Building Safety Act
- Proven people management and talent development skills
- Understanding and use of digital tools and AI in strategy and delivery
- Education to degree/postgraduate level in a relevant technical field (engineering, construction management, QS, MBA)
- Professional accreditation (RICS, CIOB, APM)
