Overview
As Finance Programme Lead, you will steer the delivery of Wise’s core finance transformation initiatives and shape how we plan, prioritise and execute complex change. You will lead a small team of Programme and Project Managers, partner with Finance leadership and cross-functional teams to connect initiatives and manage dependencies. Your work will balance strategy and execution, turning priorities into actionable plans and ensuring sustainable outcomes. This is an opportunity to influence how Finance operates at scale, embedding new processes and ways of working that support Wise’s mission to move money boldly and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Lead high-impact Finance transformation programmes and translate strategic priorities into a coherent portfolio
- Lead and develop a team of 2–3 Programme/Project Managers with clear direction and ownership
- Oversee cross-functional initiatives spanning Finance processes, systems, data, controls and ways of working
- Create alignment across Finance by connecting Accounting, Reporting, FP&A, Tax, Risk & Controls, Product, Analytics and Engineering
- Drive sustainable change by embedding new processes and ensuring adoption, training, and communication
- Help shape Finance’s future by identifying opportunities to simplify, automate, scale, and improve operations
Key requirements
- Significant experience leading complex programmes and portfolios in large, fast-moving organisations
- Experience as a people leader managing Programme/Project Managers or similar delivery professionals
- Ability to operate at both strategic and detailed levels and unblock programmes
- Understanding of Finance processes, systems, data, controls and reporting
- Strong stakeholder management and ability to challenge senior leaders constructively
- Outcome-focused with flexibility to adapt approach to problems and measure results
- Experience using data to understand problems, make decisions and track success
