Overview

In this role you drive the day-to-day management of a high-quality, person-centred care service for adults with learning disabilities across two locations. You lead a small team, ensuring compliance with CQC standards while upholding L’Arche values. You will oversee care planning, safeguarding, and continuous improvement to enhance wellbeing and independence. Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day management of person-centred care and support services
  • Ensure compliance with CQC regulations, policies and best practices
  • Provide leadership and development support to House Leaders, Team Leaders and Support Workers
  • Safeguard wellbeing, rights, dignity and independence of people supported
  • Manage staffing, recruitment, training, supervision and performance development
  • Oversee care planning, risk assessments, medication management and records
  • Monitor quality, conduct audits and drive continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with Community Leader to grow and uphold values and mission
  • Manage resources, budgets, health and safety, and service operations
  • Build relationships with families, professionals, commissioners and external agencies
  • Promote equality, diversity and inclusion
  • Lead responses to incidents, safeguarding concerns and inspections

Key requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of management experience in social care with supervisory responsibility
  • Experience with CQC inspections in a social care setting
  • Knowledge of current care and support legislation, adult protection and capacity issues
  • Experience leading teams to provide high-quality support for people with learning disabilities
  • Ability to assess performance, provide feedback, manage conflict and make evaluative judgments
