Service Sales Manager, Grid Integration

Overview

In this role you drive the Grid Integration Service sales across the UK and Ireland, shaping strategy and growing service offerings. You will foster long-term customer partnerships, lead commercial negotiations, and coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver value and sustainable growth. The position sits at the intersection of sales, engineering, and project delivery, contributing to Hitachi Energy’s mission to enable a more sustainable energy future. You will identify opportunities, expand lifecycle services, and manage risk in complex contracts.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the Grid Integration Service sales strategy for the UK & Ireland
• Drive orders, revenue growth, profitability, and market expansion
• Identify and convert new service opportunities within the installed customer base
• Expand lifecycle service offerings and grow long-term service agreements
• Build trusted relationships with customers, partners, and key stakeholders
• Lead commercial negotiations and support contract and risk management
• Coach and develop a high-performing service sales team
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional customer outcomes and sustainable growth

Key requirements

• Degree in Engineering, Business, Sales, or a related discipline
• Experience in service sales, account management, or business development
• Background in energy, utilities, power systems, industrial, or critical infrastructure sectors
• Strong commercial acumen with negotiation and stakeholder management skills
• Proven experience leading, developing, and motivating teams
• Knowledge of Grid Integration, HVDC, FACTS, renewable integration, or asset lifecycle management is advantageous
