Overview

As Senior Site Manager, you will lead a large new-build mixed-use development in Basingstoke, delivering 122 residential units plus retail with surrounding works. You’ll operate within a reputable main contractor, ensuring quality, value, safety, and timely delivery. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to drive site performance and stakeholder satisfaction. This role offers hands-on leadership on a circa £20m scheme with a focus on timber-frame delivery and strong site management.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day site operations on a large new-build mixed-use scheme
• Manage timber-frame delivery from inception through to completion
• Coordinate with subcontractors, site teams, and stakeholders to ensure quality, safety, and programme adherence
• Travel to Basingstoke daily and maintain constructive site leadership
• Ensure compliance with CSCS, SMSTS, First Aid and industry standards
• Support project delivery within a reputable main contractor context
• Drive risk management and problem-solving on site
• Oversee road works as part of surrounding works

Key requirements

• Proven track record delivering similar new-build mixed-use/residential schemes for a reputable main contractor
• Experience delivering timber-frame projects from inception to completion
• Strong man-management and leadership capabilities
• Excellent all-round construction knowledge
• First Aid, SMSTS and CSCS certifications
