Quality Engineer / Quality Manager

Overview

In this role you will develop and maintain project quality systems for a groundbreaking roof structure with no UK precedent. You will align quality requirements with the client and project, and ensure delivery is verified in both model and shop before installation. You’ll audit processes, manage NCRs and ITPs, and train teams to uphold best-practice quality. The project’s scale and unique geometry offer a high-impact, lasting professional achievement.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project quality systems aligned with company and client requirements
• Communicate quality standards and updates to project teams
• Conduct audits of internal processes, design partners and the supply chain
• Review and assess subcontractor quality documentation
• Prepare and implement project-specific quality procedures
• Support the development and compliance of Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs)
• Manage NCRs and snagging systems, ensuring timely close-out
• Support project handover and carry out weekly quality progress checks
• Deliver training and mentoring to promote quality best practice
• Contribute to sustainability and carbon reduction objectives

Key requirements

• Quality Engineer or Quality Manager with experience on construction projects
• Experience with large steel structures and envelope packages
• Auditor training and experience in quality audits
• Strong communication and stakeholder management
• Relevant qualification in civil engineering or construction-related subject
