Project Engineer (MEP) – HS2 Main Works

Overview

In this role, you support the HS2 Main Works South delivery by establishing and maintaining a robust MEP technical assurance flow. You will work with construction teams to define work packages, update asset trackers, and ensure the CDE reflects current plans. You will develop a lookahead assurance programme and report progress weekly with clear justifications. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to a landmark infrastructure project and shape how technical controls drive delivery.

Responsibilities

• Develop a technical assurance flowchart and breakdown of work packages
• Maintain asset trackers and ensure CDE reflects current plans
• Create and populate a lookahead assurance programme for each work package
• Provide weekly reports with justifications and mitigations for date movements

Key requirements

• Degree level qualification in Civil Engineering allied subject or HND in Civil Engineering
• Ideally currently working at sub agent level
• Extensive technical knowledge of construction techniques and best practices
• Computer competence (MS Word, Excel, Document control system, Primavera)
• Relevant CSCS Card
• Training in Health & Safety and Environmental management
• Experience of temporary works and earthworks preferred
