Overview
As an Electrical Engineer in AECOM’s Scotland Water Team, you will contribute to delivering sustainable, resilient water and wastewater infrastructure. You collaborate across disciplines to design and review electrical and ICA elements for complex projects and support delivery from feasibility to construction. Responsibilities
- Prepare feasibility studies, outline and detailed design, and construction support
- Design and review electrical and ICA elements for water and wastewater projects (e.g., dosing, pumping stations, sludge treatment)
- Produce and review deliverables such as calculations, drawings, and technical reports
- Collaborate with civil, electrical, process, and mechanical engineers across disciplines
- Conduct site surveys and liaise with clients, contractors, and suppliers
- Participate in design review meetings (HAZOPs, HAZIDs, SWIFTS)
Key requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Progress toward Chartered Engineer status with a relevant institution (e.g., IET)
- Proven ability to deliver engineering designs, reports, drawings, technical specs, and calculations
- Hands-on experience delivering water and wastewater engineering solutions
