Senior Product Engineer

Overview

As Senior Product Engineer at Zapp, you will own the full lifecycle of the customer apps across iOS, Android, and web, shaping fast, trusted experiences with AI-enhanced features. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact product improvements in a fast-paced, AI-first environment. You’ll influence architecture, champion reliability, and push the envelope of what’s possible in quick commerce. Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery of features across backend, web, infrastructure, and mobile when needed
• Ship high-quality customer experiences across the stack and maintain production readiness
• Incorporate AI into daily workflows and prototype AI-driven features
• Contribute to architectural discussions and coding patterns to lift the team
• Own on-call duties and ensure reliability and performance of production systems
• Harden release processes, monitor latency, and secure systems that customers rely on
• Drive craftsmanship and clear communication to share learnings and improve practices

Key requirements

• 5+ years of senior engineering experience building production software
• Full-stack comfort across backend, web, and infrastructure
• Strong fundamentals in TypeScript, GraphQL, and SQL
• Experience with NestJS (or similar Node.js framework) and React
• Cloud and DevOps mindset with GCP (or similar), CI/CD, observability, and modern infra tooling
• Daily use of AI in engineering workflows and ability to propagate patterns
• Product-minded approach with focus on customer impact over code quantity
• Production-minded with API design, scalability, reliability, and security
• Excellent written and verbal communicational skills
• Comfort with ambiguity and ability to progress without a fully defined path
• Test-driven approach and emphasis on automated testing
