Production Engineer

Overview

Senior Production Engineer role focused on improving how products are introduced, controlled and supported in production. You will collaborate with Engineering, Production, Quality and Supply Chain to review processes, identify gaps and lead improvements across NPI, engineering change, production quality and manufacturing processes. You will investigate production faults, non-conformances and field returns to drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions. A background in electronics is advantageous as most production is electronics-driven. This is a hands-on role with a clear impact on manufacturing efficiency and product introduction quality.

Responsibilities

• own the introduction and control of new/existing products into production
• lead improvements across NPI, engineering change, production quality and manufacturing processes
• investigate production faults, non-conformances and field returns and implement root-cause corrective actions
• review and improve build packs, work instructions and manufacturing data
• manage component alternatives and component changes across supplier relationships
• work cross-functionally with Engineering, Production, Quality and Supply Chain

Key requirements

• experience in a Production/Manufacturing Engineering role within electronics manufacturing
• experience supporting the introduction and transfer of new and updated products into production
• strong understanding of production processes, manufacturing quality and continuous improvement
• experience reviewing and improving build packs, work instructions and manufacturing data
• ability to investigate faults, non-conformances and field returns and implement corrective actions
• experience managing component alternatives and supplier changes
