Overview
In this role you will contribute to growing the UK geotechnical practice and deliver high-quality geotechnical solutions. You will work within multi-disciplinary teams across commercial, urban, and infrastructure projects, applying advanced design techniques and site investigations. You will plan and manage large schemes, coordinating cost estimates, tenders, and technical documentation while tracking progress, deadlines, and budgets. You will maintain strong client relationships and translate technical work into clear, actionable reports. This is a hands-on role with a focus on impact, collaboration, and professional growth within a supportive, forward-looking consultancy.

Responsibilities
- Participate in developing the UK geotechnical practice and promote the firm to clients
- Conduct geotechnical site investigations including testing, data logging and technical reporting
- Deliver high-standard geotechnical designs
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across mixed-use, commercial, urban, buildings and infrastructure projects
- Plan and manage large-scale projects including cost estimates, tender submissions, technical documentation, client reports, and monitoring progress, scheduling/resourcing, and deadlines/budgets
Key requirements
- Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) or equivalent with a focus in Geotechnical Engineering
- Minimum 8-10 years industry experience
- Proven project management skills achieving budgets, timeframes, and client requirements
- Understanding of business/organisation/marketing context of business solutions
- Well-developed consulting skills
- Ability to manage client relationships and expectations
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in a diverse, multi-disciplinary environment
- Chartered Member of the ICE or the Geotechnical Society or equivalent
