In this Senior Director role, you guide high-impact, must-have insights for institutional investors within Gartner’s Global Invest Practice. You will bridge deep AI infrastructure expertise with market analysis to shape a strategic research agenda and deliver provocative, actionable content. You’ll engage with clients through diverse touchpoints, from meetings to conferences, translating complex architectures into investment frameworks. Your work supports Gartner’s mission to navigate early-stage tech shifts and identify mature markets primed for disruption. Responsibilities

• Create innovative, must-have insights content and thought leadership
• Develop actionable approaches addressing client needs and requests
• Analyze root causes of client barriers to drive strategy forward
• Establish Insights positions within the analyst team
• Provide provocative, independent insights to influence Gartner’s research agenda
• Research and predict market trends to deliver actionable guidance
• Offer clients and prospects with guidance via virtual or in-person engagements
• Produce high-quality presentation materials for Gartner events and client briefings
• Support sales by representing market voice to drive client engagement
• Provide peer review of content and maintain research quality
• Build credibility as an industry expert representing Gartner insights and methodology
• Participate in ideation and research discussions with the Insights community
• Identify process improvements to enhance service delivery
• Mentor and coach junior team members
• Maintain client-centric engagement to promote regular use of Gartner insights

Key requirements

• 12+ years in AI Infrastructure, Semiconductor research, equity research, buy-side analysis, or strategic consulting in deep tech
• Deep technical proficiency in AI Infrastructure, Semiconductors, AI Hardware, Compute, and AI/IT Services
• Proven track record in technology research or tech-focused investment environments
• Solid understanding of investment lifecycles, market dynamics, and tech sector valuation
• Executive presence and credibility with executives and stakeholders
• Strong organizational, research, and writing abilities
• Excellent verbal and written communication, analytical and presentation skills
• Ability to analyze and synthesize data using frameworks to draw conclusions
• Subject matter expertise with capability to present at large and small events
• Strong business and financial acumen and knowledge of global competitive landscapes
• Independent yet collaborative, able to work in a multicultural, matrixed environment
• Willingness to travel up to 25%
