Overview
In this role you lead global data center fiber design and capacity planning, driving scalable infrastructure and efficient operations. You will manage complex technical programs, coordinate ISP/OSP efforts, and establish robust reporting to keep stakeholders aligned. You’ll work cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and vendors to ensure timely deployment and long-term capacity. This is a high-impact opportunity to shape critical infrastructure that underpins global services at Google.
Responsibilities
- Lead global data center fiber design and capacity planning initiatives to ensure scalable infrastructure
- Manage complex technical programs and fiber design engineering efforts
- Oversee Inside Plant (ISP) and Outside Plant (OSP) inventory and capacity management with accuracy and scalability
- Establish comprehensive project reporting for milestones, risks, and performance metrics
- Coordinate across engineering, operations, and external vendors to align execution with deployment timelines
Key requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- RCDD certification
- 2 years of experience in program management
- Experience in Fiber OSP/ISP Engineering
- Experience in fiber construction, installation, testing, capacity management and reporting
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
