Overview
In this role you own Plum’s Cash Products domain, spanning Tax Wrappers and Savings, shaping strategy and delivery across two squads. You’ll define prioritisation, collaborate with design and engineering, and navigate regulatory constraints to deliver high-impact financial products. You’ll drive go-to-market alignment with marketing, compliance, and operations, while raising the quality bar and coaching junior PMs. You help users build better financial habits through automated deposits and goal-based journeys, shaping Plum’s growth in a regulated, trusted space.

Responsibilities
- Own the Cash Products domain across Tax Wrappers and Savings, including strategy, roadmap, and execution for two squads
- Build prioritisation frameworks aligned to goals, commercial logic, and user motivation
- Collaborate end-to-end with design, elevating quality and user experience
- Partner with Engineering on scoping, sizing, and making sharp trade-offs to avoid delays
- Coordinate launches with Marketing, Compliance, CX, and Ops; lead go-to-market
- Set standards for discovery, specs, and success measurement within Cash Products
- Navigate Compliance and Risk with ISA/HMRC rules as product constraints
- Collaborate with Finance and Commercial to define competitive rate structures and business logic
- Identify opportunities to improve squad rituals and workflows
- Operate at group level to surface cross-squad synergies and avoid duplication
- Drive features that promote better financial habits (e.g., automated deposits, goal-based recommendations)
Key requirements
- 7+ years in product management, preferably in financial services or regulated spaces
- Strong researcher who can synthesize qualitative, quantitative, and regulatory signals
- Deep commercial acumen: rate setting, savings distribution, competitive positioning
- Fluent in ISA and savings mechanics, AER vs gross rate distinctions, and cash product logic
- Hands-on: write briefs, participate in design critiques, refine engineering work, draft launch comms
- Strong business-logic skills: build cases, stress-test assumptions, explain numbers to stakeholders
- Experimental by instinct: hypothesis-driven, test-and-learn approach
- Excellent written and verbal communication, able to distill complexity for diverse audiences
