Overview

In this Compliance Manager role, you own a broad set of duties focused on Conduct Risk, advisory and monitoring within a prestigious Lloyd’s market insurer. You oversee senior compliance reporting, governance, complaints, and remediation for UK and international operations, while challenging policies and controls for regulatory alignment. You manage cross-border monitoring across licensing, AML and contract certainty, and sign off financial promotions. You act as a senior adviser to the Head of Compliance, shaping Group-wide compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Conduct Risk framework including Consumer Duty, Product Governance, vulnerable customers, and product lifecycle reviews
  • Provide senior oversight of compliance reporting, governance papers, complaints, thematic reviews and remediation across UK and international operations
  • Review and challenge policies, procedures and controls to ensure regulatory alignment and effective risk management
  • Lead compliance monitoring across contract certainty, licensing, financial crime/AML and Lloyd’s Insurance Company Europe
  • Own regulatory reporting to the PRA, FCA and Lloyd’s, and compliance reporting to the parent company
  • Assess regulatory developments and advise stakeholders on impact and implementation
  • Own Financial Promotion sign-off, providing senior advice and constructive challenge to the business
  • Act as a senior compliance adviser, supporting the Head of Compliance and providing guidance across the Group

Key requirements

  • 5 years’ compliance experience within the Lloyd’s market
  • Strong understanding of Consumer Duty and Product Governance
  • Thorough understanding of PRA, FCA and Lloyd’s requirements, including Lloyd’s Principles
