Overview

As Product Validation Manager, you will lead a team delivering hardware, software, and automation for chip validation and characterization across product development and emerging tech. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional groups to define test strategies and ensure complete coverage of requirements. Your role shapes validation methodologies and drives continuous improvement of tools and flows. You’ll mentor engineers, build training materials, and partner with IC Design, Systems, and Applications teams to advance validation practices. This position anchors Cirrus Logic’s commitment to engineering excellence and scalable validation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team developing hardware, software and automation for chip validation and characterization
  • Define and drive test strategies in collaboration with cross-functional teams (Applications, Advanced Technology)
  • Own test plan execution with full coverage and traceability of requirements
  • Develop methodologies for chip test and validation from requirements to tape-out
  • Advance Tools, Technology and Flows and foster continuous engineering improvement
  • Create training materials and documentation to support the team and product development
  • Implement best practices and continuous improvements in characterization and validation methodologies
  • Collaborate with IC Design, Systems, and Application Engineers on test and validation approaches

Key requirements

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s in Electrical Engineering with proven silicon test and characterization experience
  • Experience leading engineers or technical projects (people manager or technical lead)
  • Strong debugging skills and ability to resolve complex issues
  • Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills with leadership and hiring ability
  • Experience in characterization, failure analysis, test development, statistical analysis, and customer support
  • Mixed-signal background with experience in audio and power analysis
  • Ability to organize tasks and manage time to meet deadlines
