Quantity Surveyor (Main Contractor) | Permanent | Coulsdon, Surrey

Overview

In this role you will support a longstanding main contractor near Coulsdon, Surrey, delivering high-quality new build and refurbishment projects across sectors. You will work between the office and sites, applying your quantity surveying expertise to manage costs and contracts. The role involves experience with Design & Build and JCT forms, contributing to a diverse project portfolio. You will be autonomous, collaborating with the commercial team to drive efficient commercial outcomes and risk management. Responsibilities

• Manage commercial aspects on new build and refurbishment projects
• Prepare and control cost plans, measurements, and valuations
• Administer Design & Build (D&B) and JCT contracts
• Monitor procurement, cost reporting, and financial performance
• Coordinate between office and site teams to ensure contractual compliance
• Assist with risk management and change control
• Support the bidding and pre-construction phases as needed
• Maintain accurate records and communication with stakeholders

Key requirements

• Minimum 5 years’ experience with a reputable main contractor
• Experience on new build and refurbishment projects across sectors
• Familiar with Design & Build and JCT contracts
• Full UK driving license
• Able to commute to Coulsdon, Surrey and work across sites
