Overview
In this role you will lead multiple structural steelwork projects from design through completion, ensuring safety, schedule, budget, and quality. You’ll coordinate with clients, consultants, and internal teams across design, fabrication, and handover. The position blends site duties in London with office work in London Colney, offering exposure to diverse steelwork packages and a clear path to progression. You will shape project delivery, liaise with stakeholders, and drive efficient, compliant execution.

Responsibilities
- Managing structural steelwork projects from design development to completion
- Coordinating design information through RIBA Stages 3-5
- Attending Design Team Meetings and coordinating comments between design teams and detailers
- Preparing project quality documentation (ITPs, QAPs, QA records, O&M manuals)
- Producing and reviewing Risk Assessments and Method Statements
- Coordinating labour, plant, materials and subcontractor packages
- Managing fabrication schedules and delivery programmes
- Monitoring project progress, budgets and programme performance
- Identifying and managing contract variations
- Supporting commercial activities including valuations and cost tracking
- Leading client, subcontractor and progress meetings
- Managing quality processes and NCR close-out procedures
- Producing project handover documentation and overseeing the defects period
- Maintaining excellent client and stakeholder relationships throughout project delivery
Key requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Project Management, Site Management or similar leadership role
- Extensive knowledge of the structural steelwork industry
- Trade, engineering or construction management background
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies and project planning
- Experience managing subcontractors, suppliers and site teams
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong commercial awareness
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and project administration systems
