Overview
In this Programme Manager role, you will support the design and delivery of system transformation across the South East London Acute Provider Collaborative. You will work with clinical, operational and system partners to ensure governance, planning and reporting enable timely delivery of APC priorities. You will tackle complex, multi-network projects to improve patient outcomes and equity of access. This role offers impact through cross-organisational collaboration and aligned change management within a forward‑looking NHS strategy.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement standardized change-management approaches with Network/Programme Leads
- Provide end-to-end project delivery across multiple networks, from initiation to closure
- Establish governance structures and deliver regular progress reports to APC Groups and Boards
- Monitor project progress, adapt to changing requirements, and manage scope, quality and budget
- Analyse complex issues to optimise resource use and track progress against plans
- Develop and track programme/project plans and resource plans
- Translate qualitative/quantitative data into concise information to support decisions
- Identify and manage risks and issues with contingency planning and escalation
- Ensure smooth transition plans from development to business as usual
- Support alignment of organisational, operational, clinical and workforce policies for integration
- Communicate progress to stakeholders and deputise for Network/Programme Leads when needed
- Coordinate with other managers to address inter-dependencies and align approaches
Key requirements
- Masters level education or equivalent senior-level experience
- Project Management qualification or demonstrable relevant experience
- Proven experience managing projects in complex, political environments
- Strong analytical ability and data interpretation to support decision-making
- Excellent communication with clinical, operational, patient and system partners
- Evidence of continuous professional development
- Ability to manage risks and report effectively
- Experience working in or with healthcare networks/projects
- Desirable: experience in business cases; risk management and reporting; stakeholder motivation across diverse groups
