Overview
As a Senior Process Engineer, you will lead process engineering delivery for clean water and wastewater projects, from concept through construction. You’ll own technical work packages, perform calculations and assessments, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop integrated solutions. The role focuses on resilience, asset optimisation, and sustainable infrastructure, delivering meaningful outcomes for communities and the environment. You will nurture client relationships, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to bids and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
- Develop process engineering solutions for clean water and wastewater projects
- Undertake and review process calculations, mass balances, hydraulic assessments, and technical deliverables
- Own technical work packages ensuring quality and on-time delivery
- Support process design from feasibility to detailed design and construction
- Contribute to treatment optimisation, asset improvement, resilience, and infrastructure development
- Support site investigations, performance assessments, and technical investigations
- Collaborate with civil, mechanical, electrical, environmental and hydraulic specialists
- Engage with clients and project teams to provide practical engineering advice
- Mentor less experienced engineers and contribute to technical development
- Contribute to bids, frameworks, innovation and continuous improvement
Key requirements
- Degree in Chemical or Process Engineering (or related discipline)
- Experience in process engineering within water or wastewater sectors
- Experience in process calculations, mass balances, hydraulic assessments, and deliverables
- Experience taking ownership of technical tasks in multidisciplinary projects
- Good understanding of UK water industry standards and best practices
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
