Overview

As a KYC Team Analyst, you support the Financial Crime Middle Office to identify and mitigate money-laundering and sanctions risks. You will analyze client KYC files, maintain accurate data in the workflow system, and liaise with frontline and support teams to enable timely onboarding and issue resolution. You will escalate potential risks to the second line and contribute to SAR submissions when needed. The role emphasizes collaboration, continuous improvement, and hands-on training in a fast-paced financial-crime control environment. This is an opportunity to help safeguard the organization while gaining exposure to end-to-end KYC processes and AML frameworks.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze client KYC files during periodic reviews to ensure regulatory and policy compliance
  • Maintain high-quality client data in the KYC workflow system for accuracy
  • Collaborate with Relationship Managers and Operational teams to support onboarding and address KYC queries
  • Escalate sanctions or financial crime risks to second line and submit SARs when necessary
  • Participate in on-the-job training for new team members
  • Identify process inefficiencies and propose improvements to enhance performance

Key requirements

  • Strong understanding of financial crime, sanctions, and AML regulatory frameworks
  • Experience in a Customer Due Diligence (CDD) team within a financial institution (beneficial)
  • Desirable ICA Certificates or ACAMS (not mandatory)
