This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator or industry professional to help shape the future of learners studying Health & Social Care programmes, particularly at Levels 1 and 2.You will deliver engaging and inclusive teaching that supports students to achieve their full potential, develop industry-relevant skills, and progress into employment, apprenticeships, or further study. Working as part of a dedicated team, you will contribute to curriculum development, course leadership, student support, quality assurance, and employer engagement activities.We

offer great benefits including;Generous annual leaveEnhanced employer pension contributionRegular training and developmentDutiesAs a Health & Social Care Lecturer, you will:Deliver inspirational teaching across Health & Social Care programmes, with a focus on Levels 1 and 2.Plan, prepare, assess and monitor student learning to ensure high levels of achievement and progression.Provide tutorial and pastoral support, acting as a Personal Tutor where required.Create a positive, inclusive and student-centred learning environment.Develop and maintain strong links with employers and placement providers.Support students in securing and completing meaningful work placements.Contribute to curriculum planning, course evaluation and quality improvement activities.Lead designated courses, ensuring compliance with awarding body requirements and quality standards.Monitor student attendance, progress and achievement, implementing timely interventions where necessary.Participate in open events, careers fairs, school liaison activities and recruitment events.Work collaboratively with colleagues to continuously improve teaching, learning and assessment.ExperienceWe would welcome applications from candidates who have:A relevant qualification in Health & Social Care or a related subject.Experience working within the health, care or education sector.Knowledge of current Health & Social Care practices and industry developments.Experience of teaching or training learners, ideally within Further Education.A commitment to delivering high-quality teaching and supporting learner success.Strong organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.The ability to motivate and inspire learners from a range of backgrounds.About UsThe South Hampshire College Group (SHCG) is a dynamic, purpose driven Further Education organisation with a commitment to Creating Better Futures for learners, employers and communities within South Hampshire and beyond.We pride ourselves on living our values – Collaborative, Inclusive and Aspirational.
