Data Scientist

Overview

As a Machine Learning Data Scientist on the Builder track, you design and deploy scalable ML systems powering Dojo’s automated decisions, from fraud prevention to operational efficiency. You balance statistical rigor with production-grade software to ensure models are robust and interpretable at scale. You own end-to-end workstreams, tackling hard prediction and optimization problems and maintaining live models in production. You join a collaborative, office-first culture that values curiosity and customer focus.

Responsibilities

• Own workstreams from ideation to production, aligning with commercial levers
• Design end-to-end ML systems prioritizing robustness and maintainability
• Formulate optimization solutions with LP/MIP, custom heuristics when data is scarce
• Maintain production-grade rigor: monitor drift, prevent train/serve skew, debug failures
• Write production-grade code: Python and SQL at scale, using Databricks
• Drive AI workflows: leverage AI tools with rigorous output verification

Key requirements

• Strong statistical background for model evaluation and diagnosing failures
• Experience formulating optimization problems and designing heuristics
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and Databricks; scalable data manipulation
• Practical experience with production MLOps: CI/CD, feature architectures, drift detection
• Ability to communicate model limitations transparently and evaluate with business metrics
• Collaborative leadership: end-to-end ownership, mentoring, setting standards
