Senior Town Planner

Overview

In this role you will lead and deliver planning projects within a multidisciplinary consultancy that supports MRTPI qualification. You’ll manage smaller schemes end-to-end, assist on larger projects, and draft planning statements for clients. You’ll mentor junior planners and coordinate workloads, while collaborating with surveyors, architects and third parties. This is a pathway to Associate as the business grows, with a supportive, sociable culture and structured CPD.

Responsibilities

• Project manage smaller planning projects and support larger schemes
• Write planning statements with minimal support
• Lead client-facing meetings with third parties
• Support and mentor planners and distribute workloads
• Contribute to end-to-end project delivery and workload planning
• Collaborate with Directors and multidisciplinary team on diverse projects

Key requirements

• Town Planning experience (local authority or consultancy)
• Degree-qualified in Town Planning
• Confident producing planning statements and client-facing communications
