Overview
In this role you will provide technical leadership for high-stakes clean water projects across the UK, focusing on design, optimisation, and strategic resource options. You will influence technical direction, mentor engineers, and help grow Stantec’s presence in the south of England. Expect to tackle challenges from new treatment plant design to emerging pollutant issues like PFAS, with collaboration across a national team. Responsibilities
- Own and lead technically challenging clean water projects across AMP cycles and long-term resource schemes
- Design and optimise treatment plants and existing assets; support strategic water transfer and recycling initiatives
- Conduct on-site test work and jar testing; assist in utility business planning and decision-making
- Collaborate within Stantec’s national team and with external clients/partners to set technical direction
- Mentor and develop engineers, contributing to people and culture growth in the region
- Strengthen Stantec’s presence and reputation in the south of England through delivery excellence
Key requirements
- Chartered process engineer with deep clean water expertise
- Proven track record of leading complex projects and acting as a trusted technical authority
- Curiosity for innovation and applying best practice to difficult problems
- Collaborative mindset and ability to influence clients, partners, and colleagues
