In order to make an application, simply read through the following job description and make sure to attach relevant documents.We are currently recruiting for Mechanical Engineers to join the Maintenance team of a leading UK energy operator, supporting the safe and reliable operation of offshore gas assets across the Southern North Sea.Excellent opportunities for experienced Mechanical Engineers to play a key role in improving the reliability, availability and performance of critical mechanical equipment, while working closely with Operations, Maintenance, Projects and Integrity teams.The roles are based in Norwich, Monday to Friday, with occasional travel to onshore and offshore assets.The Role As Mechanical Engineer, you will provide specialist mechanical engineering support across a wide range of equipment and maintenance activities. You’ll help identify equipment issues, improve reliability, reduce unplanned interventions and support the continued safe and efficient operation of the assets.Key Responsibilities Provide mechanical engineering support to Operations, Maintenance, Projects, Integrity and Metering teamsProvide engineering support during shutdowns, outages and maintenance activitiesInvestigate equipment failures and undertake Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA)Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, performance and efficiencySupport the development and implementation of maintenance strategies, routines and proceduresReview maintenance requirements and help reduce maintenance backlogs and unnecessary interventionsSpecify, cost and procure replacement mechanical equipment and servicesSupport Management of Change (MoC) processes and ensure engineering documentation and equipment records are maintainedMonitor and manage third-party vendors and contractors, ensuring value and cost-effectivenessUtilise electronic maintenance management systems such as MaximoCarry out Site Assurance Surveys at onshore and offshore facilitiesProvide technical guidance, support and training to technicians and junior personnelWhat We’re Looking For We’re looking for technically strong Mechanical Engineers with experience working with mechanical equipment within Oil & Gas, Energy, Petrochemical or another highly regulated environment. xwwtmva You should have:An Engineering Degree, HNC or HND in Mechanical Engineering or a related disciplineStrong operational knowledge of mechanical equipment within Oil & Gas or a similarly regulated industryExperience supporting both static and rotating equipmentGood understanding of mechanical maintenance, reliability and engineering practicesExperience investigating equipment failures and identifying reliability improvementsUnderstanding of equipment specification and procurementExperience working with CMMS / maintenance management systems, ideally MaximoKnowledge of hazardous area equipmentUnderstanding of Management of Change processesA proactive, safety-focused approach with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholdersDesirable Experience Experience or knowledge of the following would be advantageous:Valves and actuatorsPumps and compressorsReciprocating equipmentGas and diesel engines / generator setsHVAC systemsHydraulic systemsCompEx mechanical competence or equivalentOffshore Oil & Gas production facilitiesWhat’s on Offer?
