Commercial Development Underwriter

Overview

In this role you will join a busy underwriting agency as part of the Commercial Team, focusing on property-related underwriting and supporting renewals, new business, and mid-term adjustments. You’ll interact daily with brokers and insurers, working under Delegated Authority or wholesale submission models. You will contribute to the department’s growth and ensure compliance while developing key broker and insurer relationships. Responsibilities

• Underwrite renewals and new business portions of the book
• Report to the Commercial Director
• Develop relationships with key brokers and insurers
• Ensure compliance with Delegated Authority Agreements (binders) with insurers
• Assist with annual audit reviews
