About the Role
Our client is seeking a seasoned Senior Industrial Engineer to join their fully remote operations team, supporting their East London hub. This role focuses on designing, optimizing, and standardizing industrial processes across diverse business units without requiring physical presence at a single site. You will leverage data analysis, simulation tools, and best practices to drive efficiency, improve quality, and reduce costs globally. The ideal candidate is a self‑starter, possesses exceptional communication and collaboration skills for a virtual environment, and has a proven track record of implementing significant operational improvements remotely, contributing to a culture of innovation and continuous improvement from anywhere.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, analysis, and optimization of industrial processes using advanced modeling and simulation techniques.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices for global operations.
- Analyze operational data from various sources to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate effectively with remote cross‑functional teams, including operations, IT, and management, to implement changes.
- Drive cost reduction initiatives and efficiency gains through process re‑engineering and automation strategies.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the development of the remote engineering team’s capabilities.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a closely related field.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in industrial engineering, with significant experience in remote project management and execution.
- Expertise in Lean Six Sigma methodologies (Black Belt certification preferred).
- Proficiency with simulation software (e.g., Arena, AnyLogic) and advanced analytical tools.
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects and drive change in a distributed team setting.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, especially in a virtual environment.
