Design Engineer – New Connections

ThisisanexcitingopportunityforanElectricalDesignEngineerwithexperienceinLVandHV(11kV)connectionsdesigntojoinamajorDNOframework.

The role involves carrying out design and costing for connections schemes and power distribution network upgrades, including:

• Analysis and studies of LV and 11kV networks
• Design for cable replacements, underground and overhead line networks
• Design of cable diversions
• Design for power distribution network reinforcement
• Design of LV and HV connections
• Customer liaison
• Ensure designs are in line with project scope and meet OFGEM requirements

Qualfications and Experience:

• PreviousexperienceinHVconnectionsorgeneralHVnetworkdesignupto11kVwithaDNO,IDNOorICP
• Understanding of NERS
• Knowledge ofDNOandIDNOdesignstandards and scheme approvals
• Knowledge of Grid Code and CDM regulations
• Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (or equivalent)
• Driving licence
