Contracts Manager

Overview

In this role you will oversee the operational delivery of multiple residential groundworks projects, ensuring safety, on-time completion and budget adherence. You’ll lead site teams, coordinate resources, and maintain strong client and subcontractor relationships to meet the company’s high delivery standards. You will work closely with the Operations Director to drive efficient, compliant site execution.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day site operations for 3–4 live projects
• Monitor progress against programme and budget
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams
• Produce monthly progress reports and updates for the Operations Director
• Arrange and coordinate labour, materials, and plant resources
• Ensure works adhere to health, safety, and quality standards

Key requirements

• Proven experience as a Contracts Manager within residential groundworks or civil engineering
• SMSTS certification (essential)
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Commercial awareness and ability to plan and deliver multiple projects
• Full UK driving license and willingness to travel to sites across the East Midlands
