Overview

In this role you will lead the day-to-day operation and maintenance of a growing renewables portfolio, ensuring safe, compliant and high-performing assets. You will manage contractor relationships, budgets and a technical team while driving continuous improvements. Your work supports EDF power solutions’ net-zero mission across solar, storage and private wire assets, with regional travel and cross-location collaboration. This is an opportunity to shape operational strategy and contribute to a large-scale renewable expansion.

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day O&M across solar, storage and private wire assets
  • Manage safety, compliance and performance standards
  • Oversee contractor, OEM and network operator relationships
  • Plan and manage O&M budgets and major maintenance campaigns
  • Lead audits, inspections and improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with asset management and engineering teams to optimise performance
  • Develop and implement operational strategies and procedures
  • Identify opportunities to improve reliability, efficiency and asset health
  • Support portfolio growth toward 10 GW by 2035

Key requirements

  • IOSH or NEBOSH qualification with strong HSE knowledge
  • Degree in engineering or related discipline (or significant equivalent experience)
  • Experience in operation and maintenance with performance improvements
  • Experience with HV/LV operating procedures or standards
  • Experience managing contracts, budgets and cost control
  • Experience leading teams and setting objectives
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the UK
