Responsibilities
- Draft and negotiate construction contracts (JCT, NEC, FIDIC, and bespoke)
- Advise on procurement strategy, risk allocation, and regulatory compliance
- Support project delivery and contract administration
- Manage disputes related to defects, delays, payments, and professional negligence
- Represent in adjudications, arbitrations, mediations, and TCC litigation
- Collaborate with Real Estate, Corporate, Banking, and Commercial teams
- Prepare legal submissions and assist partners in complex disputes
- Contribute to business development and internal training initiatives
Key requirements
- 4+ years PQE in UK construction law
- Strong non-contentious construction experience
- Interest or experience in contentious construction matters
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills
- Commercial awareness and pragmatic problem-solving
- Strong interpersonal and client relationship-building abilities
- Enthusiasm for mentoring junior colleagues and team development
