Bid Manager

Overview

In this role you will lead end-to-end bid management to secure new business for a fast-growing UK facilities management provider. You will work closely with the Commercial team to craft compliant, persuasive proposals tailored to client priorities, and oversee the process from opportunity to submission. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop winning solutions and continuously improve bid quality and win rates. This is a performance-driven, team-oriented role at the heart of SBFM’s growth and client-centric strategy.

Responsibilities

• Monitor tender opportunities and support bid/no-bid decisions
• Manage end-to-end bid process ensuring timely delivery and high standard
• Write, edit and refine persuasive bid responses highlighting value proposition
• Collaborate with Business Development, Operations and subject matter experts
• Tailor proposals to address client priorities and requirements
• Produce high-quality, compliant submission documents
• Develop and maintain bid content, templates and knowledge libraries
• Maintain excellent stakeholder communication throughout bid lifecycle
• Contribute ideas to improve bid processes, quality and win rates

Key requirements

• Bid Manager or similar bid writing experience in Facilities Management or service-led industry
• Excellent written communication with high attention to detail
• Strong project management and multi-deadline organisation
• Confident stakeholder engagement across the business
• Ability to identify client drivers and craft tailored, persuasive responses
• Experience using procurement portals and managing tender submissions
• Proficient IT skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and online research tools
• Proactive, collaborative approach and ability to perform under pressure
