Overview
In this role you will lead the design and project management of water and wastewater schemes within a multidisciplinary team. You will drive design from outline through detailed stages, coordinating specialists and ensuring delivery on time, budget, and quality. You’ll collaborate with clients and internal teams to promote a unified approach and support your path toward chartership. Responsibilities
- Lead design from outline to detailed design and through construction, commissioning and handover
- Coordinate civil, electrical, mechanical and process designers, BIM modelers and technical specialists to meet programme, budget and quality targets
- Mentor junior colleagues and share design expertise
- Maintain strong client and internal stakeholder relationships promoting a one-team approach
- Work within a project triangle with Site Manager and Quantity Surveyor to balance technical, constructability and commercial aspects
- Support delivery across water and wastewater projects within Yorkshire Water frameworks and AMP8 initiatives
Key requirements
- Accredited Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Process or Electrical)
- Incorporated Member of Engineering Institution
- Outline and detailed design experience on water or wastewater projects
- Knowledge of Designer or Principal Designer duties under CDM 2015
