As a Senior Structural Engineer in our Nottingham team, you will lead the design and delivery of residential and commercial projects from concept through completion. You will collaborate with architects, clients and multi-disciplinary teams to develop well-coordinated, regulation-compliant design solutions. You’ll tackle a range of developments, applying expertise across concrete, steel, timber and masonry to ensure high-quality outcomes. Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a diverse portfolio of projects from concept to delivery
- Deliver projects across industrial, residential, retail, commercial and healthcare sectors with quality outcomes
- Collaborate with architects, clients and multidisciplinary teams to develop coordinated design solutions
- Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
- Undertake structural inspections and assessments of new and existing properties
- Perform structural analysis and design using industry software, producing drawings and reports
- Prepare professional structural survey reports and design deliverables
- Mentor and support junior engineers and technicians
Key requirements
- Proven ability to manage projects independently from concept to delivery
- Strong technical knowledge of both new-build and refurbishment structures
- Experience with steel, concrete, timber and masonry
- Mentoring attitude and ability to support junior engineers
- Proactive, hands-on approach to high-quality structural design
- Excellent communication skills for client, architect and contractor interaction
- Proficiency in structural design software (Tekla, Tedds, ETABS or similar)
- Chartered (IStructE or ICE), or near-chartership with clear progress
- Degree in Civil Engineering (MEng or BEng) or equivalent
