Overview

As Procurement / Supplier Manager, you will lead strategic supplier contracts and ensure compliant, value-driven commercial arrangements. You will align legal, technical, and finance teams to deliver essential communications services to UK blue light customers. You’ll manage the full contract lifecycle, drive negotiation, and strengthen supplier performance and risk controls. This role supports the wider Supply Chain mission to deliver agility, cost control, and high service quality. You will work with senior stakeholders to shape contracting strategy and sustain a safe, reliable operational backbone.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the full 3rd party contract lifecycle for strategic and operational suppliers, from mobilisation to renewal or exit
  • Negotiate complex contract changes, renewals, and new service agreements, ensuring alignment with strategy and DOA processes
  • Provide guidance on UK/EU contract law, data protection, and sector-specific regulatory requirements; manage complex contract changes with legal and commercial teams
  • Monitor supplier performance against SLAs/KPIs and drive improvements through SIPs; identify and mitigate risks with contingency plans
  • Oversee supplier costs, validate charges and credits, and collaborate with finance to track spend and identify savings
  • Chair strategic supplier review meetings and serve as the central point of contact for internal and external stakeholders
  • Support procurement team development and promote commercial best practices

Key requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, Commercial Management, or related field
  • 5+ years of contract or supplier management experience in telecommunications, IT services, or mission-critical infrastructure
  • Comprehensive understanding of English contract law with working knowledge of European regulatory frameworks
  • Proven track record negotiating complex commercial agreements and managing multi-site service portfolios
  • Experience with contract lifecycle management and data interpretation for performance/financial models
  • Full UK driving license and willingness to travel within the UK
  • Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Strong stakeholder management and ability to present to senior executives
  • Strategic thinking with ability to coordinate cross-functional teams
