The Hiab Driver role is based in Hitchin and offers temporary work paying £20‑£22 per hour. You will operate a Class2 (CATC) vehicle fitted with a HIAB crane, delivering essential building supplies to trade and residential customers.

Working Monday to Friday, 7am to 5pm, day shifts provide early finishes and a consistent schedule. Local deliveries minimise long‑distance travel, giving a predictable working day. The client is a leading builders’ merchant with a strong safety focus and modern, well‑maintained vehicles.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Deliver building materials to construction sites, businesses, and residential properties.
• Use a HIAB crane (brick grab) to safely load and unload goods.
• Provide excellent customer service at delivery points.
• Complete vehicle checks and ensure all deliveries are carried out safely and efficiently.

What You’ll Need

• Full UK Class2 (CATC) licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
• Valid CPC and Digital Tacho card.
• HIAB licence (brick grab).
• Previous experience in a builders’ merchant or similar delivery role is advantageous.
• A professional, customer‑focused attitude.
